What is tin plate sheet and what are its features?
The direct effect of sheet quality on the production process
- Many manufacturers think that the quality of the sheet only affects the appearance of the product, but the truth is that the quality of the sheet affects three key stages of production:
- Cutting and forming: standard sheets have a uniform thickness. This makes the cutting blades wear less and the dimensions of the cans are completely accurate.
- Seaming: In order for the can to be completely watertight and not leak, the edges of the sheet must have a correct mechanical behavior during sealing. Low-quality sheets lead to cracks in the edges and as a result product leakage.
- Reduction of waste: using first-class material greatly reduces the amount of "discard" and waste at each stage of production and increases the profitability of the factory.
